ANNUAL AND SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
Everyone is talking about the crisis in the construction industry. And indeed, the general framework has shifted significantly. Factors such as high inflation, the changed interest rate landscape and stricter lending criteria are not at all favourable for construction companies. In this respect, 2023 signalled a clear cooldown of the construction industry. But we’re pleased to say: STRABAG held up extremely well even in this challenging environment. We grew our output volume, maintained our high order backlog and further increased our profitability.

PEOPLE.
planet.
Progress.
Climate neutral by 2040. To achieve this goal, we will need to reassess, rethink and redesign nearly everything related to our three key topics. Let’s get to it.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY
Three big topics. One even bigger goal.
Carbon Emissions
Sustainability is a central pillar of STRABAG’s corporate strategy. A special focus of this strategy is the reduction of carbon emissions in all areas of our work – from the office to the construction site.
Materials & Circularity
Innovative methods are needed to help us use our resources as efficiently as possible and support the transition towards a smart circular economy.
Digitalisation, Processes and Innovation
Our goal is an ambitious one: We want to be the leading construction technology group for sustainability. To reach this goal, we are pushing for technological progress and digital transformation in all of our processes.
